Welcome

Hi, welcome to my personal website. I am James Enciso, a recent electrical engineering graduate from Cal State LA. I just finished my Master’s program in electrical engineering under a communications and biomedical engineering specialization.

Here, you can get to know me more as a scholar, engineer, and technology enthusiast. If you would like to get in touch with me, please feel free to do so.

About Me
My main research involved the development of a mobile exergaming fitness monitoring app for enabling wheelchair-dependent users to exercise in-home in a motivating manner. My involvement on the project consisted of developing an algorithm to estimate energy expenditure from EMG data and interpret EMG bursts as single contractions, implementing the features into the app using Java, and assisting with data collection on spinal cord injury subjects. My Master’s thesis covers the design requirements and characteristics used in the final prototype based on research and tests conducted. You can access the manuscript copy at the following ProQuest Link.

My other previous work involves my role as a full-stack developer for a startup company called Coranote. I developed an IOS app and website to serve as a platform for users to list items for sale.
